Roboflex® Ecosystem: providing functionality in extreme conditions

The Roboflex® ecosystem allows you to assemble a specific solution for your business and according to your needs. In this article we’ll explain a little about each of the items that make up our ecosystem and what the ideal situation is for each one.

1. Cases

The cases are the part where the user interacts with the device. They are made from ABS plastic, which is a lightweight and highly resistant material. All Roboflex® cases also comply with the MIL-STD 810G standard, which guarantees protection against falls, impacts and vibrations, as well as IP54 to IP65 compatibility, which protects the device against water and dust. To find out more about what the degrees of protection are and what each digit means, you can check out our glossary page on our website. Roboflex® currently has 3 models of cases that are versatile and adapt to different environments and operations in the field, so let’s talk a little about each one below.

Bolt-on cases

The bolted case is ideal for operations in which the equipment will be fixed to walls, columns, tables or mobile assets and there is no need to remove it constantly. It allows the equipment to be used by several users more easily.

Magnetic cases

The Roboflex® magnetic system is an exclusive technology that allows devices to be attached, moved and charged in Roboflex® ecosystem cases. The magnetic system is designed to withstand constant removal of the equipment during or at the end of operation and keeps the device charged when the plug is connected to the case.

Cases with no attachment

These are cases without a base for rear attachment, ideal for greater mobility in field operations. With the use of handles, they provide more comfort and safety and are ideal for more dynamic operations that require constant mobility, such as operational checklists and monitoring.

2.Bases

Bases are items that can be used to attach to the back of the case as well as to the surface. They are made of lightweight material and are resistant to impact, shaking, water and dust, among other weather conditions. Roboflex® currently has 4 models of bases with a variation in the size of the ball, which can be 1 inch or 1.5 inches. We’ll explain each one in more detail below.

Screwed base

The bolted base is intended for operations where the equipment will be in a fixed location, without mobility and easy access for all users. Made of high-strength, lightweight material, it’s a great solution for keeping your equipment secure without compromising its adjustability.

Suction cup base

The suction cup range is ideal for users who need to constantly remove the equipment during or at the end of the operation, offering dynamism and the ability to withstand impacts and the temperature at which it will be fixed. Roboflex® suction cups use instant vacuum technology where the level of absorption is highly resistant over the long term, even at high operating temperatures. It provides extra security for fixing to glass, metal, non-porous surfaces and surfaces without grooves, allowing the equipment to be removed easily.

Adhesive base

The adhesive base makes it possible to apply the device without drilling holes or alterations. It is ideal for application on vehicle panels, for example, and also for cases where removal is required after a period of time. It has a slightly malleable flat base that allows it to mold to the curvature of the application surface. Developed with high-performance, durable adhesive, it can be applied to flat, organic surfaces such as plastic, glass and metal.

Tubular base

Tubular bases offer a practical and safe solution for fixing to tubular objects and can be installed on tubes up to 28mm. Ideal for installation on forklifts, tractors and other spaces with round tubes.

3. Arms

We currently have arms in our catalog that are compatible with 1-inch or 1.5-inch balls, depending on the size of the base you choose. Our arms also vary in size, from 90mm to 140mm long, and have a handle system that allows for better pressure adjustment with the base.

There is also the self-locking model, which, in contrast to the handle model, has a system for adjusting the pressure with the base using a key. This is ideal for restricting the number of people who can adjust the part to prevent theft, vandalism and sabotage.

4.Cables and chargers

Roboflex® cables and chargers feature robust connectors designed for field operations that withstand a higher level of repetition and shaking than a standard connector. They also have levels of protection against water and dust. We currently work with 2 types, the socket cable which can be plugged into either 110v or 220v and is ideal for offices and factory floors. And also the automotive charger, which has a fuse holder and is ideal for automobiles, from cars and trucks to forklifts and locomotives.

5.Customized assembly

To assemble the ideal solution for your operation, it is always important to take into account the surface where the equipment will be fixed, whether it requires constant removal or will be fixed, and the best way to charge the device. If you have any questions, please contact our team via Whatsapp or the contact tab (link to contact page) on our website.

Final considerations

Roboflex® promotes the integration of devices and systems through hardware, delivering constant connectivity and total integration for your device, regardless of the activity performed. We develop complete solutions that enable the installation of hardware without damage, secure fixing, greater dynamism and usability of equipment in the field.
